Colts Take On Atlanta Falcons in Berlin – Week 10 NFL Action

Guten tag, fussball fans. How are you? Alles klar I trust on this excellent morning kickoff to the tenth week coming straight outta Germany. Berlin's Olympic Stadium to be precise where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the powerful Indianapolis Colts (7-2) take on the Falcons (three wins and five losses). The fifth game played on soil in Germany and the first in the nation’s capital.

Pregame Highlights

When it comes to glittering attire that is an absolute belter from Katarina Witt on the opening flip. A minor slip from the broadcast team there as we hear “who won the toss?” from the presenter with an unfortunately hot mic.

Well, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have chosen to get the ball first. Daniel Jones and company will be taking the field soon. Can the quarterback recover after a difficult performance in Pittsburgh?

In a similar vein the singer belting out the US national anthem has some of the biggest shoulder embellishments you are bound to notice. Loving the sartorial choices today. We are almost underway after a choir performance for the German anthem. Classy.

First Quarter Gameplay

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

Here we go! And we have an exciting start after the Colts running back receives a short throw, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right then loses the ball … only for his offensive lineman to save his bacon with the recovery. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the excitement continues as the Colts go for it on 4th down. The risk doesn't work out as Josh Downs cannot reel in a fastball from the quarterback. On the play before the turnover on downs the Falcons defender put a massive tackle on the Colts' tight end. Atlanta's defense started strong as they attempt to end their three-game losing streak. Next up Sauce Garner’s debut!

Touchdown Recap

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-0 Falcons 8:36, 1st quarter

Did Kyle Pitts just drop a touchdown? The tight end drops a clanger, he was wide open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the first round pick’s career to date.

A disappointing start but it only deteriorates for the Atlanta as they cough the ball back to the Colts on the 23-yard line. The Falcons quarterback is hunted down and fumbles the football.

An agile 22-yard rush from Ashton Dulin sets Jonathan Taylor up to roll in for the score on the following play. The placekicker skews the extra point wide. Oops.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

The quarterback recovers from the turnover by marching his Falcons down the field for a touchdown. Drake London makes some substantial catches to put them in the red zone then the defense opens up for the running back to run untouched into the end zone through the middle of the defense for a 13-yard gain. He completes the drive for a one-yard touchdown of his own. Advantage Atlanta.

And for afters, the jumbo package starting at 12pm CST/1pm EST/6pm GMT (with home teams first) is as follows:
