The First Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.
Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering on PS5 topics as a new development. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox still intends to attract subscribers with quality releases on its flagship service.
The Immediate Additions
The two games currently accessible today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's deserving of attention.
Upcoming Headline Games
Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "a superb mixture of terror and combat."
Intriguing Niche Additions
However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Robust Selection of Games
Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service alone. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around — which makes them excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
