Two Individuals Accused Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was caught up in the incident in the event. Several persons required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – described by police as was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
